In the Battle...

As soon as I opened my eyes, I know, the battle began.  I try to make myself as prepare as possible.  I dressed appropriately, my hair is perfect; my smile is ready.  In the battleground that I am to face, there is no fairness.  There is no time to make amends and certainly no tolerance for errors.  One is expected to be knowledgeable, and precise.  I am surrounded by tension and doom.  Those around me try continuously.  Their efforts are viewed by all.  But when you look in their eyes, you are aware of their frustrations.  For no one appreciates, no one is grateful and no one cares.

Daily I pour my heart to the Lord.  Praying and sobbing for the battle I am to face.  I am filled with sorrow and affliction.  My loneliness consumes me for there is no one to give a word of encouragement.  As I look, the storm surrounds me, the skies are filled with dark clouds and I am sinking.  The Lord says: “Do not be afraid”.  So I look into his eyes and his stretch out hand, and I get up and start walking; Matthew 14:25-31.  I have yet to reach dry land.  As the hours passed, his word is constantly before me; Psalm 63:1-8.  His name is repeated incessantly.  When the sun goes down, I am grateful for He has made me endure.  I have survived the battle.  The results are both exhaustion and victory.  Victory, for I have seen him.  Victory for my Lord awarded me with His protection, His goodness, His love...
