I, am leaving Ur.
I have considered this journey before, but was not prepared. My responsibilities, and life’s entanglements
kept me restrained. The Lord has release
me, and now I am moving forward.
My Lord has been silently performing wonders and
providing the means to accomplish this journey.
The power I previously awarded comfort, familiarity, security and fear
had constraint me but now, my Savior has dismantled them.
As I pack possessions, consider resources, and
prepare for what lies ahead, I am unable to hide my excitement. I am like a bride waiting at the altar for
the one she loves. However, I have not chartered a route for I do not know my
destination. These are my footsteps of
faith and I trust in him. In my head, I
hear the voices of opposition. Those who
are fearful, I may be harm along the way.
I say to them: I know in whom I
have believed. He is my shelter, and I
reside under the shadow of the Almighty.
Pray for me as I launch. I am looking forward to sharing what lies
ahead and as I write this, I smile.
