Order in Life...

There is an order and normalcy to things in life.  This is clearly seen in family relationships.  The parent’s role is to love their children, a father should protect the family, children should respect their elders.  When any of these are missing, the family is labeled as dysfunctional.  If you have grown without a sense of normalcy, you have certainly become dysfunctional.  The scars you bear will affect every one of your relationships.

As a believer, I have found myself questioning the Lord many times as to why He would allow such a lack of order.  Does He not see how it affects relationships?  Does He not understand the victim’s scars?  Is He not aware of the consequences of these scars when the victims become adults?  Why would the Lord who is so kind and compassionate consent to this?  I prayed many times for the Lord’s intervention.  I have gone to him seeking justice, showing him troubles, and afflictions and in great distress.   He has appeared silent.  With time, I have learned to wait but mostly, to trust.

With patience the Lord has re-introduced me to the concept of free will.  We as humans have the ability to choose between doing what is right or wrong, what is good and evil; Deuteronomy 30:15-19.  We make choices daily.  The Lord in his kindness has taught us what is incorrect and its consequences, but we are not his robots.   He has allowed us to choose.  Parents are taught that they should love their children, fathers that they should protect and provide for their family, and children that they should respect their elders.  We have been given the choice to adopt this order and normalcy or not.  Some have chosen not to.  The consequences of not choosing what is right are our scars.  Because our Lord is so kind, He came to bear our afflictions, our impairments, our scars; Isaiah 53:4.  Not only did He remove our dysfunction; Isaiah 53:11 but by his Spirit He empowered us; 2 Peter 1:3 not to scar others.  Such grace, such love, such gifts...

I will never get tired of praising Him!!!!!
